Trailing 9-3 midway through the fourth quarter, Auburn began at its own 40-yard line. A 20-yard scamper by Ronnie Brown moved the Tigers into LSU territory. After three plays that combined to lose two yards, Campbell connected on 4th-and-12 for a 14-yard pass to Taylor to keep the drive alive.

On the ensuing LSU series, JaMarcus Russell's pass with 16 seconds left was intercepted by Junior Rosegreen to seal the win.

Auburn (3-0, 2-0 SEC), has outscored its opponents 84-23.

The defending BCS national champion LSU Tigers (2-1, 0-1) had their 10-game winning streak halted.
