Steelers' backup QB status uncertain

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Backup quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers No. 1 draft choice, is listed as probable for Sunday's Baltimore game.

Roethlisberger injured his right knee in practice and planned to return to drills Friday after sitting out a day, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said.

The Steelers carry only two quarterbacks. Brian St. Pierre, the No. 3 quarterback last season, is on the practice squad and could be activated for the Ravens game, though the Steelers would have to waive a player to create room on the roster.
