MLB: Baltimore 11, Toronto 7

TORONTO, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- David Newhan had four hits and helped during an eight-run eighth inning outburst Sunday as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 11-7.

Brian Roberts had three hits, two RBI and three runs scored and Melvin Mora drove in three runs for the Orioles, who have won 11 of their last 13 games.

Carlos Delgado hit a three-run homer for the Blue Jays, who have dropped five of their last six games.

Baltimore trailed 7-3 before erupting in the eighth to take an 11-7 lead.

Buddy Groom (3-0) earned the victory with 1 1/3 scoreless innings, while Vinnie Chulk (0-3) suffered the defeat after giving up five runs in just one-third of an inning.

Toronto's David Bush pitched five innings and yielded two runs, seven hits and one walk. Baltimore's Daniel Cabrera gave up seven runs on eight hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings.
