MLB: Seattle 4, Minnesota 3

SEATTLE, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Seattle scored in the bottom of the ninth Wednesday for a 4-3 win over American League Central-leading Minnesota, which has lost four straight.

The winning run came in after a catcher's throw glanced off Willie Bloomquist as he tried to steal third, enabling him to score easily.

Randy Winn drove in two runs for the Mariners and Ichiro Suzuki had two hits. Suzuki leads the major leagues with 57 multihit games.

Michael Cuddyer had two hits and drove in a run for the Twins, who have dropped four straight and have batted less than .200 in their past seven games.

Reliever George Sherrill (1-1) tossed 1 1/3 innings for the win. Juan Rincon (9-5) took the loss in relief.
