Hejduk gets big contract from arbitrator

TORONTO, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- An arbitrator on Thursday awarded Colorado forward Milan Hejduk a $5.7 million contract for next season.

Hejduk earned $3.2 million last season, during which he had 35 goals and 40 assists in 82 games.

He won the Maurice Richard trophy as the NHL's top goal-scorer in 2002-03 with 50.
