MONTREAL, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- The Montreal Expos got lefthander Jeriome Robertson from the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday in exchange for left-handed pitcher Pierre-Luc Marceau.
The 27-year-old Robertson went 1-1 with a 12.21 ERA over eight relief appearances for the Indians this season.
Last year, Robertson he posted a 15-9 record with a 5.10 ERA in 32 games for Houston, 31 of which were starts. After obtaining pitchers Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte in the offseason, the Astros dealt Robertson to Cleveland for outfielder Luke Scott and the rights to outfielder Willy Taveras.
Marceau was signed as a non-drafted free agent on Aug. 31, 1999. He was 0-0 with a 4.61 ERA in 13 games out of the bullpen for Savannah of the South Atlantic League after going 1-1 with a 4.28 ERA in 18 relief outings for Brevard County of the Florida State League earlier this season.
