Brad Elder leads by three in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan., July 31 (UPI) -- Brad Elder shot a four-under 67 Saturday for a three-stroke lead at 14-under 199 through three rounds of the Wichita Open.

Anthony Painter had the low round of the day with a seven-under 64. That moved him into a tie for second place at 11-under 202, where he was joined by Erik Compton (66) and Darron Stiles (69).

Elder, a two-time winner in 1999, started his round one shot behind overnight leader Keoke Cotner.
