MLB: Seattle 8, Boston 4

SEATTLE, July 20 (UPI) -- Bret Boone's grand slam in the bottom of the 11th inning Monday gave Seattle an 8-4 win over the Boston Red Sox.

The Mariners tied the game in the ninth on back-to-back solo homers by Miguel Olivo and Edgar Martinez.

In the 11th, the Mariners loaded the bases on walks to Olivo and Dave Hansen and Randy Winn before Boone hit the fifth grand slam of his career.

Mike Myers (4-1) got the final out in the 11th for the Mariners to pick up his fourth win of the season against one loss.

Curtis Leskanic (1-5 was the loser.

The win was just the third in 14 games for Seattle. Boston has lost four of six.
