DALLAS, July 14 (UPI) -- Deion Sanders, the former Dallas Cowboys cornerback, has denied accusations he is not paying child support.
Carolyn Chambers Sanders, who was divorced from the athlete in 1998, says her ex-husband hasn't paid child support since February and is also mismanaging their children's $2 million trust fund, the Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday.
"There is no truth to anything she's alleging," the noted runner and sports commentator said Tuesday night, saying he has copies of canceled checks for his child support payments through June.
He says the accusation is about his ex-wife's interest in the trust.
"I established the trust fund for my kids, and I'm the custodian of the trust fund. And I will protect my kids' money from their mother," he said.
