MLB: Chicago White Sox 3, Seattle 2

CHICAGO, July 10 (UPI) -- Mark Buehrle won for the eighth time in his last nine decisions, pitching eight innings to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 3-2 win over Seattle.

Buehrle, left off the AL All-Star roster, has been dominant in his last 12 starts, allowing just 32 earned runs in 84 2/3 innings to lower his ERA to 4.03.

Since his last loss, Buehrle (9-2) has surrendered five runs in 23 innings. He held the Mariners to two runs and nine hits.

Paul Konerko lifted Chicago into a 1-1 deadlock in the second inning with a solo homer and tied it again in the fifth with a bases-loaded walk against Matt Thornton (0-2). Joe Crede also walked to put the White Sox in front, 3-2.

Shingo Takatsu recorded his fourth save for Chicago.

Bret Boone and Jolbert Cabrera had RBI singles for the Mariners, who have lost eight consecutive games.
