LOCH LOMOND, Scotland, July 8 (UPI) -- Eduardo Romero, Phillip Price and Jose Manual Lara shared the first-round lead in the Scottish Open Thursay at 3-under-par 65.
Defending champion Ernie Els shot a 70.

A win by Romero, who soon turns 50, would make him the oldest winner in European Tour history.
Mark Roe and Tom Lehman were at 67 and Thomas Bjorn at 68. Other scores included a 69 by Colin Montgomerie, 71 by Lee Westwood and 74 by Phil Mickelson.
