The Comets missed all eight of their shots in the extra session and fell to 1-1 in overtime.

Connecticut, meanwhile, won its fifth straight -- recording a 78-59 decision over Washington.

Rookie Lindsay Whalen took just one shot but finished with 10 points, seven assists and just two turnovers. She was one of five starters in double figures for Connecticut (9-7), which never trailed as it maintained first place in the Eastern Conference.
