MLB: Los Angeles 2, San Francisco 1

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) -- Eric Gagne recorded his 81st straight save for Los Angeles in a 2-1 victory over San Francisco Tuesday.

Los Angeles starter Jeff Weaver pitched six innings, Guillermo Mota (4-3) followed with two scoreless innings and Gagne held off the Giants in the ninth for his 19th save of the season.

Paul Lo Duca got the decisive hit for the Dodgers, singling in Jason Werth with two outs in the eighth to break a 1-1 tie.

Lo Duca's hit came off reliever Felix Rodriguez, who replaced starter JIm Brower in the eighth after Werth reached base. Brower (5-5) took the loss.

The Giants had won 12 of their previous 15 games.
