MLB: Toronto 3, San Diegon 0

SAN DIEGO, June 20 (UPI) -- Miguel Batista scattered seven hits in 7 1/3 innings and Orlando Hudson homered to lead Toronto to a 3-0 victory over San Diego.

Batista (5-5) tossed a five-hit shutout against the Padres last July 18 as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He didn't go the distance this time, but again succeeded in keeping San Diego off the scoreboard. Vinnie Chulk recorded two outs in the eighth and Jason Frasor pitched a hitless ninth for his sixth save.
