ANAHEIM,, Calif., June 13 (UPI) -- Todd Walker had two hits and three RBI in the Chicago Cubs 10-5 rout of the Anaheim Angels.
One of the Angels' key off-season free agent acquisitions, Bartolo Colon (4-5) surrendered six runs and nine hits, including three homers, in six innings.
Walker plated a run with a groundout in the third, led off the fifth with his eighth home run and delivered an RBI double in a four-run eighth that broke open the game.
Aramis Ramirez started the scoring for the Cubs with a solo homer in the second, then capped it with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. In between, Patterson had a two-run single.
Todd Hollandsworth also homered for Chicago, which won for just the second time in its last eight road games.
Cubs starter Glendon Rusch (3-1) gave up two runs and six hits in five innings, striking out six without a walk.
Francis Beltran gave up three runs while retiring just one batter in the sixth, but Mike Remlinger, Kyle Farnsworth, Kent Mercker and LaTroy Hawkins combined on 3 2/3 scoreless innings.
