MLB: Baltimore 13, Boston 4

BOSTON, May 31 (UPI) -- Brian Roberts hit a three-run double to highlight a seven-run sixth inning and B.J. Surhoff had four hits Monday as Baltimore routed Boston, 13-4.

Roberts had three hits, as did Melvin Mora, who extended his hitting streak to 13 games. Mora hit a two-run homer and finished with four RBI. Surhoff had two RBI, including a home run in the second inning.

The Orioles, coming off a three-game sweep of the Detroit Tigers, recorded 16 hits and have had at least 13 in each of their last six games.

Rodrigo Lopez (4-2) allowed one run and four hits in 5 1/3 innings for his first win since May 9. Lopez was making his third start since moving into the rotation on May 20.

Derek Lowe (4-5) took the loss, allowing seven runs and eight hits in five innings.

Johnny Damon had two hits and an RBI for the Red Sox.
