TORONTO, May 27 (UPI) -- Roy Halladay was dominant over 8 2/3 innings Thursday night as Toronto completed a three-game sweep of Anaheim, 3-2.
The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner allowed just two unearned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out seven.
Toronto scored three times in the seventh inning to beat Jarrod Washburn (7-2).
Frank Menechino then ripped a two-run triple to deep center that put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-0.
Toronto's defense betrayed Halladay (5-4) in the ninth when third baseman Dave Berg committed a two-out, two-base error. An RBI single by Jeff DaVanon chased Halladay, but Jason Frasor induced Casey Kotchman to fly out to left on his first pitch.
