MLB: Arizona 4, Florida 3

MIAMI, May 23 (UPI) -- Five days after pitching a perfect game, Randy Johnson allowed two runs and four hits in seven innings Sunday as Arizona beat Florida, 4-3.

The 40-year-old lefthander retired the first six batters he faced before Abraham Nunez led off the third inning with a double. That ended a streak of 39 consecutive batters retired, two shy of tying the major league record of 41 set by Jim Barr of the San Francisco Giants on Aug. 23 and 29, 1972.
