MLB: Chicago White Sox 11, Minnesota 0

CHICAGO, May 16 (UPI) -- Mark Buehrle worked 6 2/3 innings and Jose Valentin homered and knocked in four runs Sunday as the Chicago White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins, 11-0.

After winning a career-high 19 games in 2002, Buehrle struggled to a 14-14 mark last year.

Buehrle (3-1) worked seven scoreless innings in a victory over Baltimore on Tuesday. Sunday, the lefthander gave up seven hits and struck out seven without a walk.

Just 6-for-26 in his previous seven games, Valentin had an RBI single in a three-run second inning and a three-run homer in the third to make it 6-0.

Magglio Ordonez added three hits and three RBI and Carlos Lee went 3-for-4 and scored three times for the White Sox.

Carlos Silva (5-1) was ripped for six runs and eight hits in three innings and suffered his first loss in eight starts.
