PITTSBURGH, May 9 (UPI) -- Olmedo Saenz had a two-run pinch hit homer off John Grabow in the 14th inning Sunday to help Los Angeles sweep Pittsburgh, 9-7.
The Dodgers have won four straight, seven of 10 and own the best record in the National League at 20-10.
Los Angeles led 7-2 and appeared on its way to a routine victory when the bullpen collapsed in the eighth inning. With
two outs and none on, Jose Lima gave up two hits and two walks to force a run home. Darren Dreifort and Tom Martin then walked the next three batters, making the score 7-6.
Following a pitching change, Jason Kendall hit a soft ground ball that rolled betweeen the mound and third base for an infield single that tied the contest.
Brian Falkenborg (1-0) picked up his first Major League victory by working the 13th and 14th innings.
