The 6-6 Jones played in 88 games for Canisius, including 47 starts. He averaged 5.2 points and 4.3 assists in his career, including 6.4 points this past season.

"Rich was a tremendous all-around athlete," said Canisius Coach Mike MacDonald, who was present for the workout. "During his three years on the team, he became known as a quiet leader who was always quick to laugh. He was well-respected by the entire team and we all will miss him."
