MLB: Seattle 12, Detroit 2

DETROIT, May 2 (UPI) -- John Olerud and Bret Boone each drove in three runs and Gil Meche got his first win of the season Sunday as Seattle pounded Detroit, 12-2.

Olerud had a two-run base hit and an RBI single and Boone capped the scoring with his sixth homer in the eighth inning. After missing Saturday's contest with back spasms, Boone went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and walked twice.
