MLB: Colorado 13, Atlanta 4

DENVER, May 2 (UPI) -- Atlanta committed seven errors, four by third baseman Mark DeRosa, and Vinny Castilla drove in three runs Sunday to lead Colorado to a 13-4 rout.

The seven errors tied the team's highest total since the Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966. The Boston Braves made 11 errors June 11, 1906 against St. Louis.

Atlanta starter Horacio Ramirez (0-3) was abandoned with the Braves committing six of their errors in the first four innings. All eight runs off Ramirez were unearned.

Second baseman Marcus Giles and shortstop Jesse Garcia each committed an error in a three-run first inning, which Castilla capped with a two-run double.

The Rockies scored three more runs in the second with the help of an error by DeRosa and a balk by Ramirez.

Shawn Estes (4-1) picked up his team-leading fourth win, allowing four runs and 10 hits in seven innings.
