BARCELONA, Spain, April 28 (UPI) -- Defending champion Carlos Moya cruised into the third round of Spain's Open Seat Godo Wednesday with a win over German qualifier Daniel Elsner.
Moya, winner of two tournaments this year, beat Elsner 6-4, 6-2.
"I felt very good and comfortable out there today," the Spaniard said. "It's good to come back as defending champion and I hope to win this title again."
Alberto Martin of Spain defeated Nicolas Massu of Chile, the fourth seed, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2
Third seed David Nalbandian of Argentina eliminated American Todd Martin 6-2, 6-4.
"It wasn't an easy match; he's got a big serve but I returned well," Nalbandian said.
Other winners included Francisco Gonzalez of Chile, Feliciano Lopez and Gaston Gaudio of Spain, Olivier Patience of France, Kristof Vliegen of Belgium and Spain's Marc Lopez.
