BALTIMORE, April 24 (UPI) -- Frank Catalanotto continued his torrid hitting on the road with an RBI single in the 12th inning Saturday to give Toronto a 5-4 win over Baltimore.
Entering with a .346 average away from home, Catalanotto did not get the start in this one. But he came on as a defensive replacement in the 10th and got his first at-bat after Chris Woodward opened the 12th with a double off Mike DeJean (0-1).
On a 1-0 offering, Catalanotto singled to left field, driving in Woodward with the go-ahead run. He raised his road average to .370 (10-for-27) as opposed to .233 at home.
Former Oriole Kerry Ligtenberg (1-0) pitched two scoreless innings for the win. The Toronto bullpen allowed just three hits and two walks in seven innings.
Carlos Delgado went 4-for-6 with a solo homer for the Blue Jays, who won for just the second time in eight games.
