NASHVILLE, April 13 (UPI) -- Tomas Vokoun had the first playoff shutout in team history Tuesday as Nashville beat Detroit, 3-0, to even their West quarterfinals series.
Nashville dropped the first two games of the first postseason series in its six-year history but bounced back at home.
Vokoun recorded his second straight 41-save performance. The 27-year-old Czech posted three shutouts during the regular season and made his first All-Star appearance.
Dan Hamhuis assisted in Nashville's other two goals. With 5:39 left in the second period, he snapped a shot that Vladimir Orszagh redirected past Legace for his second playoff goal.
Greg Johnson capped the scoring just over two minutes into the third period.
Game Five is Thursday in Detroit.
