DULUTH, Ga., April 3 (UPI) -- Zach Johnson, the 2003 Nationwide Player of the Year, had a 4-under-par 68 Saturday for a three-shot lead after the third round of the BellSouth Classic.

Johnson, 28, who completed 54 holes at 13-under 203, won twice last year and earned a tour-high $494,882 on the lesser circuit. If he holds on to the lead Sunday, he will collect a first prize of $810,000.

Northern Ireland's Padraig Harrington and Australian rookie Scott Hend are tied for second at 210.

Harrington, who nearly erased a nine-stroke deficit last week at the Players Championship, had a 5-under 67. He overcame a triple-bogey 7 on No. 5 by shooting a 31 on the back.

Hend shot 68 and is in contention after missing the cut in his first five starts of the year.

Brian Gay is alone in fourth at 207, one stroke ahead of defending champion Ben Crane.
