NEW YORK, March 25 (UPI) -- Oft-injured New York Rangers center Eric Lindros underwent surgery Thursday to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, the team announced.

The procedure was performed in London, Ont. Rehabilitation is expected to last three months, meaning Lindros should be ready for training camp.

Lindros was injured Jan. 28 in a 2-1 loss to the Washington Capitals. He had his head down in the neutral zone when he was nailed on a clean hit by defenseman Jason Doig.

The 6-5, 237-pound Lindros also was diagnosed with the latest in a series of concussions that have derailed a once-dominant career.

Injury-free last season, Lindros was beset by a series of concussions in 1999-00, the last of which came with Philadelphia in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals.
