EDMONTON, Alberta, March 20 (UPI) -- Defenseman Igor Ulanov scored with 91 seconds left in a wild third period Friday night, giving Edmonton a 5-4 victory over Nashville.
The Oilers climbed within two points of the eighth-place Predators in the Western Conference.
Ethan Moreau and Radek Dvorak scored less than two minutes apart midway through the third period to put the Oilers ahead, 4-3.
Scott Walker netted his second goal of the game 88 seconds later, but Ulanov pounced on a rebound in the right faceoff circle and fired it by goaltender Tomas Vokoun to end a 10-game goalless drought and give Edmonton its third straight win.
Fernando Pisani also tallied for the Oilers, who have gained points in 11 consecutive games (6
2-3).
Defenseman Kimmo Timonen and Greg Johnson added goals for Nashville, which is winless in its last seven (0-4-3).
