Hanrahan, Lane share Caltex Masters lead

SINGAPORE, March 20 (UPI) -- American Greg Hanrahan and England's Barry Lane shared the lead at 13-under-par 203 Saturday after three rounds in the Caltex Masters in Singapore.

Both players shot 5-under-par 67 and held a two-stroke lead in the European Tour event over Singapore's Mardan Mamat, the second-round leader, who shot a 70. Four players shared fourth place at 9-under-par: Jonathan Lomas of England, Colin Montgomerie of Scotland, Thomas Levet of France and South African James Kingston.

Hanrahan observed his 46th birthday Saturday.

"It would be awesome to win but I'm not getting ahead of myself," said the American, who has played mostly on the Asian Tour.

Montgomerie, ranked 51st in the world, needs a high finish to move into the top 50 and qualify for the Players Championship next week in Florida.
