Todd Steussie signs with Buccaneers

TAMPA, Fla., March 15 (UPI) -- Two-time Pro Bowl left tackle Todd Steussie signed as a free agent Monday with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 6-foot-6, 308-pound Steussie, who had started for Carolina since 2001, was released by the Panthers last week.

He played the previous seven years of his 10-year NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings and made the Pro Bowl in 1997 and 1998.

ESPN said Steussie signed a six-year, $20 million contract with Tampa Bay.

"Todd is a reliable, veteran performer," Coach Jon Gruden said. "He further adds a lot of positive traits to our offensive line."
