ANAHEIM, Calif., March 4 (UPI) -- Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 27 saves Wednesday night as Anaheim blanked Minnesota, 2-0.

Samuel Pahlsson scored both Anaheim goals.

Giguere was the dominant force a year ago when the Mighty Ducks reached the Stanley Cup Finals, but he came into this game with a 13-25-5 record. He has managed to win three of his last four starts as Anaheim struggles to stay in the playoff race.

Pahlsson scored midway through the second period and then recorded an unassisted goal on a slap shot in the third.

Minnesota is winless in five straight games (0-4-1).
