NHL: Philadelphia 5, Nashville 2

PHILADELPHIA, March 3 (UPI) -- Kim Johnsson scored two goals and set up another Wednesday night as Philadelphia rolled over Nashville, 5-2.

Alexei Zhamnov and Tony Amonte each added a goal and two assists for the Flyers.

Rumored to have interest in obtaining Brian Leetch from the New York Rangers, the Flyers saw that possibility slip away when he was traded to Toronto.

A former teammate of Leetch, Johnsson proved capable of putting up similar numbers as he posted his third three-point game of the season.

Johnsson gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead 27 seconds into the game with his seventh goal. After Zhamnov and Amonte tallied, Johnsson scored on the power play at 5:44 of the second period to make it 4-0.

Sami Kapanen added an empty-netter for Philadelphia, which snapped a three-game winless streak and retained a share of the top spot in the East.
