NASHVILLE, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Ethan Moreau scored the game-tying goal midway through the third period and Tommy Salo made 30 saves Sunday to lead Edmonton to a 2-2 tie with Nashville.
The Oilers trailed 2-1 after Andreas Johansson tallied on the power play with seven minutes left in the second period. But Moreau got his 14th goal with 9:52 to go in regulation to forge the tie.
Scott Walker scored his 17th goal with the man advantage just 1:43 into the first period to give Nashville a 1-0 lead. But Radek Dvorak also converted on the power play for his 12th goal to tie it 2:03 into the second period.
Salo preserved the tie with two minutes left in overtime when he got his stick on a shot by David Legwand and made another stop on defenseman Mark Eaton 22 seconds later. Defenseman Igor Ulanov collected two assists for the Oilers.
