Team officials said Saturday Barney was injured in the Kings' 8-3 Friday loss to Buffalo.

Barney became the eighth player on the team on IR. Others out include Jason Allison, Adam Deadmarsh, Martin Straka and Lubomir Visnovsky.

The 24-year-old Barney was replaced on the roster by Pavel Rosa, who was recalled from Manchester of the American Hockey League.
