Ancic, Dupuis advance to Milan final

MILAN, Italy, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Mario Ancic dispatched Sweden's Thomas Johansson, 6-3, 6-4, Saturday in the semifinals of the Milan Indoors and will play Anthony Dupuis in Sunday's final.

The 19-year-old Ancic blasted 13 aces against Johansson, including the last two points. He had a serving percentage of 78 and has not dropped a set during the tournament.

Hailing from the same seaside resort as two-time Milan champion Goran Ivanisevic, Ancic had never advanced past the quarterfinals at an ATP tournament before this week. "If he plays like that, he's going to win every match," Johansson said. "He served very well tonight, there was nothing I could do."

Johansson, the 2002 Australian Open champion, fell to 5-3 in his comeback from a serious knee injury. He missed the entire 2003 season after undergoing surgery on Feb. 11, 2003.
