Boston erased a two-goal deficit, tying it with 40.4 seconds to go in regulation on Jiri Slegr's tally off a goalmouth scramble.

But Jason Spezza won a faceoff in the Bruins' zone early in overtime, Havlat darted down the slot and snapped a shot past goaltender Martin Prusek for his 19th goal of the season and fourth game-winner.

Spezza scored the other goal for Ottawa, which has won two in a row following a three-game losing streak.

Ted Donato started Boston's comeback in the second period with a shorthanded goal, but the Bruins fell to 1-11-1-1 at Ottawa since the start of the 1999-2000 season.
