WACO, Texas, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Kenny Taylor scored 18 points and made six three-pointers Tuesday to lead 11th-ranked Texas to a 84-58 Big 12 Conference rout of the Baylor Bears.
One of three players that transferred from Baylor in the wake of last season's recent scandals surrounding the death of Patrick Dennehy, Taylor came in averaging 7.4 points this season. The 6-3 guard scored just five points when Texas (17-3) posted a 79-57 home win over Baylor on Jan. 10.
Taylor, who was held scoreless in two of his previous three games, sank four three-pointers in the first half when the Longhorns gradually pulled away and took a 36-19 lead into the locker room.
Harvey Thomas scored 20 points to lead Baylor (7-15), which lost its 13th in a row to Texas.
