ALTA BADIA, Italy, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Rainer Schoenfelder of Austria won a World Cup slalom in Italy Sunday, edging American Bode Miller.
Racing in strong winds and falling snow, Scoenfelder finished his two runs in 1.44:98, just 0.19 secondds ahead of Miller. Benjamin Raich of Austria was third.

The win was Scoenfelder's first on the circuit in a year.
