SPOKANE, Wash., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Blake Stepp scored 16 points and handed out 10 assists Saturday night as eighth-ranked Gonzaga won its 12th straight game, 87-57 over Loyola Marymount.
Gonzaga has turned its small gymnasium, known as The Kennel, into a huge home-court advantage. The Bulldogs have won their seven games here this season by an average of 26.6 points.
Stepp led the latest rout and Cory Violette added 13 points for the Bulldogs (19-2, 9-0 WCC), which took control of the game in the second half when they outscored the Lions, 50-32.
Charles Brown and Wes Wardrop each scored 16 points to lead Loyola Marymount (11-11, 2-7).
