NHL: Tampa Bay 2, Philadelphia 1

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Defenseman Pavel Kubina and Ruslan Fedotenko scored 1:42 apart against Neil Little Monday as the Tampa Bay Lightning edged the Philadelphia Flyers, 2-1.

Forced into action early in the second period by an injury to Robert Esche, Little allowed goals on the first two shots he faced, putting the Flyers in a 2-1 hole.

Little, who had made just one NHL appearance in 11 professional seasons, stopped the final six shots by the Lightning. But Philadelphia could not get the equalizer past Nikolai Khabibulin.

Seven minutes into the second, Kubina drew Tampa Bay even with his fourth goal in as many games. Acquired from the Flyers in June 2002, Fedotenko put the Lightning ahead with his 11th of the season.

Khabibulin stopped 18 shots for Tampa Bay, which extended its winning streak to six games while notching just its fourth victory in 25 visits to Philadelphia.
