SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan got 33 points and 14 rebounds and Tony Parker scored 10 of his 20 points in the final period as the San Antonio Spurs edged Utah 85-81 Saturday.

The Spurs have beaten the Jazz 15 straight times and 11 in a row at San Antonio, although this one was a battle.

"It was a great game both ways," San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. "I believe Utah is the best executing basketball team in the game, the state, the country. They do it for 48 minutes. They've always been my standard to look at with my team."

Duncan had 28 points through three quarters, making a barrage of mid-range jumpers. In the final period, Parker scored eight straight points for the Spurs, good for a 74-67 lead with 3:15 to play.

The Jazz refused to quit and closed to 76-74 on Jarron Collins' free throws with 51 seconds to play. The Spurs then turned to their two-time MVP.

From the left wing, Duncan gave Greg Ostertag several jab steps before rising up for a trademark bank shot that gave San Antonio a four-point cushion with 35 seconds left.
