NBA: Sacramento 96, San Antonio 91

SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Bobby Jackson scored 12 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter Thursday night to lead Sacramento to a 96-91 victory over San Antonio.

Peja Stojakovic had 22 points and Mike Bibby added 17 for the Kings, who had lost 10 of 12 meetings with the Spurs over the previous three seasons. This was the first of four encounters in 2003-04.

Sacramento had a 78-76 advantage before Jackson made the first of three three-pointers with 7:59 remaining in the final period.

San Antonio trailed by nine with less than three minutes to play, but pulled within 91-87 on a dunk by Malik Rose off a steal by Manu Ginobili with 46 seconds left.

After a timeout, Jackson again connected from beyond the arc with 29 seconds to play. Bruce Bowen fouled him and Jackson made the free throw to give the Kings an eight-point cushion.
