Anja Paerson skis to 2nd straight victory

MARIBOR, Sweden, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Anja Paerson of Sweden raced to another slalom victory Sunday and increased her lead in the World Cup standings.

Paerson covered the course in 1.38.08 for her second slalom win in two days. Austrians Marlies Schild and Nicole Hosp finished second and third.

The victory put Paerson 105 points ahead of Austrian Renate Goetschl in the overall standings.

The fastest American finisher was Kristina Koznick, who finished 17th.
