NHL: Detroit 2, Anaheim 2 (OT)

ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Vaclav Prospal scored with one minute left in the third period Wednesday night as Anaheim rallied from a two-goal deficit for a 2-2 tie with Detroit.

The Red Wings were making their first trip to the Arrowhead Pond since they were swept in last year's Western Conference quarterfinals.

After scoring in the final minute of the second period, Petr Sykora threw the puck out of the right corner with time winding down in the third. Prospal put a shot off the left goalpost, but the puck caromed off the right skate of goaltender Manny Legace and into the net.

It was the eighth goal of the season for Prospal, whose previous two were game-winners, but it was not enough to halt the Ducks' home winless streak, which reached seven games (0-3-4).

Pavel Datsyuk and defenseman Mathieu Schneider tallied for Detroit, which is 0-1-1 on a five-game road trip and has just one win in its last six contests (1-2-2-1).
