Shea named Bears offensive coordinator

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith began filling out his staff Wednesday, naming Terry Shea offensive coordinator.

Shea served as quarterbacks coach for the Kansas City Chiefs during the last three seasons.

While Shea was with Kansas City, quarterback Trent Green flourished under his direction. Green garnered Pro Bowl honors this past season, when he threw for 4,039 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Prior to his stint in Kansas City, Shea coached Rutgers ranks from 1996-2000, posting an 11-44 record.
