NHL: Edmonton 4, Columbus 4 (OT)

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Eric Brewer scored 5:45 into the third period Sunday as the Edmonton Oilers rallied for a 4-4 tie with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Edmonton managed just two shots Saturday in a 2-1 loss at Nashville in which it managed just a pair of first-period shots and was within nine seconds of getting blanked. One night later, the Oilers produced just four first-period shots but forged a 1-1 tie on Mike York's backhander 4:27 into the game.

Edmonton's Ty Conklin gave up Tyler Wright's third goal of the year and rookie Nikolai Zherdev's power-play tally nearly two minutes apart.

The Oilers battled back on plays by Ethan Moreau and Brad Isbister. With 6:08 to play, Moreau re-directed a shot over Marc Denis, and 15 seconds later, Radek Dvorak backhanded a pass to Isbister.
