Hansen grabs share of lead at SAA Open

CAPE TOWN, South Africa, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Denmark's Anders Hansen, who last year came close to giving up golf, Saturday moved into a tie for the lead at the South African Airways Open.

Frustrated with the lack of progress with his game, Hansen took two months off last year to try and rediscover his love of the game and Saturday he did.

Hansen carded a 4-under-par 68 in the third round in some of the toughest winds that the Erinvale Golf Club has seen. He is 9-under to share the lead with South African Craig Lile, who posted a 70.

England's Steve Webster is a shot behind after a 67 while defending champion Trevor Immelman of South Africa shot a 69 to join Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin in fourth place, two shots off the pace.
