NEW YORK, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Keith Van Horn scored a season-high 30 points Friday night as New York celebrated Lenny Wilkens' debut as coach with an 108-88 win over Seattle.

Wilkens, who is the NBA's all-time leader with 1,292 wins, made his debut with New York after replacing Don Chaney on Wednesday. His new squad dominated Seattle, which Wilkens coached to the 1979 NBA championship.

The Knicks took control with a 22-4 run bridging the first two quarters. Allan Houston had five of his 18 points and Marbury had four assists during the spurt, which gave New York a 44-26 cushion.

Marbury matched his own NBA season high for assists, which he set on Dec. 18 while still a member of the Phoenix Suns.

The Knicks won for the third time in four games following a four-game slide.
