DALLAS, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki forced one overtime with a three-pointer Wednesday night and scored five points in the second to give Dallas a 125-122 win over Philadelphia.
The Mavericks blew a 15-point lead early in the fourth quarter, then rallied from four points down in the final two minutes of regulation. There were seven ties and four lead changes in the final 20 minutes and both teams barely missed buzzer-beating shots.
Antoine Walker became the first Maverick in eight years to record a triple-double in consecutive games while Philadelphia youngsters Samuel Dalembert and Kyle Korver had the best games of their young careers.
But under pressure, the best player was Nowitzki, who scored 25 points.
The Mavericks survived a three-pointer by Aaron McKie that rattled out at the overtime buzzer, then finally took control in the second extra period.
